36th Provincial Seed Council Meeting (2nd Part) Karachi, 17th March 2025 The 36th Provincial Seed Council Meeting (2nd part) was held at the Cabinet Meeting Hall, Sindh Secretariat, Karachi. The meeting was chaired by Honorable Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, Minister for Agriculture, along with *Worthy Secretary Agriculture, Mr. Suhail Ahmed Qureshi. It commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran.   The Director General Agriculture Research Sindh briefed the attendees on the agenda of the meeting.   The meeting was attended by the Director General Agriculture Extension, Managing Director Sindh Seed Corporation, Director Agriculture Research Center Tandojam, Director Nuclear Institute of Agriculture Tandojam, and esteemed committee members, including Syed Nadeem Shah Jamote, Mr. Nawaz Nizamani, Mr. Tariq Khanzada, Mr. Talal Unar, Professor Zahoor Ahmed Soomro, Mr. Rizwan Ahmed Soomro (Regional Head FSC&RD), Dr. Nihaluddin Marri, and representatives from both public and private sectors.   During the meeting, 10 varieties of cotton, 4 varieties of rice, 3 varieties of maize, 2 varieties of mustard, 1 variety of mango, 1 variety of lentil, and 1 variety of sesame were unanimously approved by the committee. Notably, the Dusehri mango variety, presented by the Horticulture Research Centre, Mirpurkhas,* was successfully approved, marking a significant achievement. This success was made possible through the dedicated efforts of *The Director General Agriculture Research Sindh and Executive Director Horticulture Research Centre, Mirpurkhas. Heartfelt congratulations to the entire agricultural research community for this remarkable accomplishment!
